Visual Intelligence and Lie-Størmer Center celebrates Women in Mathematics Day in Tromsø

Scientists from UiT and University of Bergen gathered to discuss gender imbalance and discrimination in academia, as well as initiatives which aim to ensure diversity and inclusion in research, academia and work life.

Visual Intelligence and the Lie-Størmer Center thank everyone who participated in the local celebration of Women in Mathematics Day at Verdensteatret in Tromsø!

‍The event consisted of a screening of the award-winning documentary "Picture a Scientist". The film addresses and problematizes gender inequity in research and academia through personal stories from three female scientists.
