Aim of VI Days

Researchers and personnel from all VI partners gather for knowledge-sharing and updates on the latest Visual Intelligence (VI) research and innovations. We have a social program with plenty of opportunities for dialogue, interaction, discussions, networking, and socializing.

Visual Intelligence Graduate School (VIGS) Pre-Program

September 22nd

The pre-program consists of an afternoon gathering for VI's young researchers and graduate students to grow transferable skills, share scientific experiences and getting to know each other across institutions.

    • Prof Georgios Leontidis is the Interdisciplinary Institute Director (AI & Big Data) and a professor of machine learning at the University of Aberdeen. He is a Turing Academic Liaison (The Alan Turing Institute), an Ellis Society member, and a former member of the Scottish AI Alliance leadership group

  • 10:00 - 12:00 – Collaborative work session with user partners (Session chair: Inger Solheim)
    • Work sessions centered around individual user partners. Practical info will be given at the opening.

      • Discuss progress, path forward and potential adjustments to the research plan for 2026 and potential directions for the next years

You may reserve a room at the venue by August 20th.
