Associate professor and PI Elisabeth Wetzer participated in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings 2024, which took place from June 30th to July 5th.

The conference is one of the world's largest annual gatherings for Nobel Prize winners, and is described as a unique, exclusive and internationally renowned research event.

This year's Lindau conference gathered 650 distinguished scientists and 30 Nobel Prize winners from across the world to exchange knowledge and experiences across generations, cultures, and scientific disciplines.

- Participating in the Lindau Nobel Meetings on Physics as a machine learning researcher felt both inspiring and eye-opening. This experience has been invaluable for gaining new perspecties and expanding my network in physics applications, says Wetzer.

This year’s program revolved around various topics in physics that are particularly relevant to society at large: solutions for the future of energy supply; the potential and impact of artificial intelligence; and a broader discussion of basic and applied research on quantum physics.
